Our Story

It all started in 2017 after SGT Moyer’s career as an Army Ranger appeared to be coming to an end. He was going into his third surgery on his leg after an injury he’d had for years. As doctors discussed his future (or lack thereof) Nico started to think about what was next.

Nico had 7 years on active duty and was awarded 10x Army Achievement Medals, 2x Good Conduct Medals, 1x Army Commendation Medal, 1x Joint Commendation Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal, Ranger Tab, Pathfinder Tab, Airborne, Combat Infantryman Badge, Jungle Expert. He deployed three times to Afghanistan and trained all over the country.

As he planned for the next chapter Nico had a crazy idea. He sold his car, bought a van, and started building a tiny house. His goal was to work with local nonprofits and travel along the East Coast doing the same.

In less than a year Nico had more support than he could handle. Between receiving volunteer emails daily and students wanting to do something “cool” for their community service hours, Nico’s project became a motivation for others.

Exactly one year later DoMoreGooder was born! Nico started the process of building a nonprofit to inspire and empower change through service, education, and leadership.

The goal is to facilitate and support students to create fun and engaging service projects to fulfill their community service hours with passion.

That being said, here we are in the process…
